Joan Duggan is a glass artist from Omaha, Nebraska. With a focus on fused glass, she creates a wide variety of bowls, plates, jewelry, and even custom made glass sinks. In her studio at the Hot Shops Art Center she is constantly working to create new pieces and refine new techniques. Since 2001 she has been teaching classes from basic bead stringing to jump ring jewelry. She has also taught introductory glass fusing classes to many local students.
Her art has been displayed at the Nicholas Street Gallery and she has attended many workshops by nationally and world reknowned glass artists. She has recently been learning metal welding techniques to supplement her glass work. Ms. Duggan's work can be purchased at her studio and at the many craft and art fairs she attends each year (check the schedule for upcoming classes and appearances.)
